The Identity Rail

The Identity Rail

The Identity Rail is an early-stage framework concept. It carries the resources to restore context, returning the chance for a certified lift.

Conventional inference spends its context as it goes. Each turn is paid against the live window, and what the forward pass consumes is gone. The rail is the conserved counterpart — the off-band inventory of what survives computation rather than being spent by it. When context is lost across a break, the rail is what still carries the means to recover it.

Recovery here is not exact replay. It is the return of the conditions under which a lift can be certified rather than merely promoted — the chance restored, not the result guaranteed.

Stated precisely: the invariant, conjugate reserve to conventional inference context.

The rail’s mechanism is developed in a separate treatment, as elsewhere on this site — the concept is named here; the formal work sits apart from it.
